kids in foster care to summer camp!

The Gay & Lesbian Fund for Dallas is proud to announce Dallas CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, as one of our beneficiaries for 2024.  Dallas CASA volunteers work directly to help children in foster care by advocating for their well-being and placement in a safe home where they can thrive. The Gay & Lesbian Fund for Dallas is focused on raising funds for Dallas CASA to send children to summer camp this year.

For one Dallas CASA volunteer, seeing the kids have fun at camp said it all: “They got to be kids that week, instead of worrying about their parents and the other challenges in their lives.” 

​

One week at sleepaway camp costs approximately $600 for each child. 

​

UPDATE:  We have already exceeded our target goal of $12,000 so we have upped our fundraising goal to $20,000 to support Dallas CASA.
