Advancing Equality Through Philanthropy

Every day, gay men and lesbians of Dallas contribute to the greater Dallas community by supporting non-profit organizations and causes that affect the quality of life of everyone in Dallas. Until recently, however, it was not known that such philanthropy was coming from the gay and lesbian community. The Gay & Lesbian Fund for Dallas demonstrates and advances equality by encouraging gay and lesbian philanthropy and giving visibility to the personal and financial contributions of gays and lesbians to the City of Dallas. With every donation it makes, the Gay & Lesbian Fund for Dallas ensures that recipient agencies do not discrimate in their hiring, employment, and service practices.
